Who is The Lottery Office?
The Lottery Office is operated by Global Players Network Pty Ltd. We are Australian owned and operated and licensed by the Northern Territory Government. We have offices in Darwin, NT and on the Gold Coast, QLD.
The Lottery Office is unlike other companies. Our unique business model allows you to enter our own Government approved lotteries. When you enter one of our lotteries, we will then purchase a matching ticket in a major overseas lottery and we will claim any prize that is won from the overseas ticket and pay you the exact same amount. This ensures we are able to pay out any prize and not have to rely on an insurance policy like other companies. It also allows our players to have the chance to win from matched tickets with major overseas lotteries having prizes reaching into the billions.

-
Is The Lottery Office legal?
Yes. The Lottery Office is operated by Global Players Network Pty Ltd, and licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory Government of Australia. All of our lotteries are approved, conducted and drawn in the Northern Territory under the supervision of Licensing NT. Our processes and financials are audited annually as required by our Regulator.
-
Is this lottery betting?
Definitely not. Lottery betting companies operate under a Sports Betting licence and are not approved to run their own lotteries. Most lottery betting companies are headquartered overseas and rely on an insurance policy to pay out large prizes in the case that they have a major winner. They don't purchase matching tickets in the overseas lotteries. In June 2018 the Australian Federal Government passed legislation to ban Lottery Betting under the Interactive Gaming Act. The Lottery Office is a safe, licensed, reliable way for you to win from some of the biggest lotteries in the world. We are proudly Australian owned and operated and our profits stay right here in Australia.
-
Are my details secure?

Your connection to The Lottery Office website is secured by 256 bit encryption technology, ensuring your personal information is protected during transmission to The Lottery Office website.

-
Do you support any charities and good causes?
Yes. The Lottery Office Charitable and Community Benefits Fund was set up to ensure that a percentage of our revenue would be put back into local communities and organisations.
If you would like to suggest a charity or cause that would benefit from a donation, please contact charity@lotteryoffice.com.au
How it works
-
Does The Lottery Office issue real tickets?
Yes. When you place an order with us, you are purchasing games in our own Government approved lotteries e.g. USA Power Lotto. After receiving your order, we then purchase a matching ticket in the overseas lottery e.g. US Powerball. Once we have safely secured the matching ticket, we issue you with a Lottery Office ticket, which can be found under 'My Draws' in your Lottery Office account.
-
Who owns the overseas lottery ticket?
The Lottery Office purchases, owns and retains all rights to the overseas lottery tickets purchased as a result of your order. You are entitled to be paid by The Lottery Office an amount equal to any prize money collected by us as a result of the relevant lottery draw.
-
Will I receive a ticket?
Yes. You will receive a Lottery Office ticket detailing the game numbers and draw dates for our lottery that you have entered. Your Lottery Office ticket can be found under 'My Draws' in your Lottery Office account. The overseas lottery ticket remains the property of The Lottery Office, and will be stored securely in the country of origin. Some countries have laws forbidding the transport of lottery tickets outside the country.
-
Are there any fees with The Lottery Office?
The game price for each lottery we offer covers the cost of the matching overseas lottery ticket, GST, a Charity amount and our administration costs. We will never charge any fees or commission for claiming and paying winnings.
Please be aware that some credit card deposits may incur a 'cash advance fee' due to the activity being considered a 'gambling transaction'. This is determined by a player's bank and you may wish to check with your bank to clarify if your deposits will trigger this fee. To avoid this fee, we suggest using an alternative payment method including Debit Card, Bpay, paysafecard or PayID/Bank Transfer.
Please note: PayID is not available for NZ customers.

- Once the draw has taken place you can log into your account and navigate to the My Draws section. Clicking 'See full draw details' on the draw with the numbers you want to replay will reveal the option to 'Play again?'

-
How do I cancel my game/s?
The process of purchasing the matching overseas lottery tickets begins immediately after successfully submitting your shopping cart with payment on The Lottery Office website. Overseas lottery ticket purchases cannot be cancelled, therefore all purchases are final with no refund available. In addition some lotteries offer single use or shielded draw numbers that therefore cannot be cancelled. That is why we encourage you to double check your orders in your shopping cart before clicking 'Purchase'.
-
Are my tickets secure?
As all of our tickets in our lotteries are electronic we have developed features to ensure the security and accountability of our ticketing process. The primary individual ticket identifier is the entry number above the barcode and this number is unique for every ticket issued. The number is created at the time that a valid order is placed by the customer and is contained in the order confirmation email sent thereafter. It then links that order to the ticket issued to the customer and the matching foreign ticket purchased in the relevant foreign lottery.
The barcode contained on the bottom of the electronic ticket was not used to identify the individual tickets that we issued. Therefore the barcode is not required to identify ownership of the ticket after the draw. Our tickets are always electronic tickets and, as they are not a printed paper ticket randomly sold, we did not need or use barcodes in the winner identification and notification procedures. It is not the holder of the ticket that is entitled to claim the prize as is the case with paper tickets but the known customer who ordered it and to whom it was issued. Our winner identification is all done automatically by our business systems. Of course customers can also do their own personal checks of draw numbers against draw outcomes.
For this reason the barcode has been the same on all of the tickets that we issue. Its purpose is simply to provide an initial assistance in identifying instances where a bogus electronic ticket may have been created in an endeavour to falsely claim a prize. If the wrong barcode is on the ticket it was not created and issued by us. However this is only a superficial check. A genuine ticket must have the correct entry number issued to the winning customer who ordered it and thus can only be claimed by the player it was issued to. Therefore even if the correct generic barcode was on a forged or copied ticket, only the genuine owner of a real and original Lottery Office ticket will be paid the prize that they have won.
Following queries from customers about why the barcode was always the same, we made the decision to actually link the barcode to the individual entry numbers. Therefore from February 15, 2021 all ticket barcodes will represent the ticket number and will therefore be different for every ticket issued.

Why is my credit card being declined?
As of December 2018, some banks may block what they consider 'Gambling transactions' on their credit cards. Some gambling transactions (including some that have been identified by the bank as being for ‘gambling purposes’) could be declined, depending on the credit card balance in relation to the credit card’s limit at the time of the transaction. Other financial institutions are blocking the transactions regardless of your balance.
If your card is being declined it may be due to this and we recommend enquiring with your bank about what their rules are regarding this type of transaction. You can also contact our Customer Support team as well to see what response the bank has returned on your attempted transactions.
Alternative payments that do not incur additional fees are Visa & Mastercard Debit cards, PayID/Bank Transfer, paysafecard or BPay.
Please Note: PayID is not available for NZ customers.
-
Why is my transaction 'pending' on my account?
Some payments may appear 'pending' on your bank statement until a transaction is fully processed through your financial institution. Timeframes on when your bank process payments may vary. Should you require further information we advise that you contact your bank or card issuer.
-
How will deposits appear on my Credit Card / Bank Statement?
Debit and Credit Card transactions will appear on your statement as 'THE LOTTERY OFFICE WINNELLIE'. BPay transactions will appear on your statement as 'LOTTERY OFF'. Some banks may shorten the name that appears. Pay In-Store will appear on your statement as “LOTTERYOFFICE”. PayPal transactions will appear in your PayPal account as “The Lottery Office”.
PLEASE NOTE: Some credit card deposits may incur a “cash advance fee” due to the activity being considered a “gambling transaction”. This is determined by a player's bank and you may wish to check with your bank to clarify if your deposits will trigger this fee. To avoid this fee, we suggest using a debit card, PayID/bank transfer, BPay, Pay In-Store or paysafecard. Some PayPal purchases may incur a cash advance fee if a credit card is used from your PayPal account. Purchases using debit card or PayID/bank transfer from PayPal will not incur a fee, nor will transactions using the PayPal wallet.

What are the benefits of a syndicate?
Joining forces with other players allows you to increase your chances of winning a jackpot.
Get more tickets for a fraction of the cost and share the fun with like-minded lotto-lovers.
You won’t have potential arguments as to who paid to be in the syndicate and difficulties collecting money from the ticket holder like you can possibly get with “office syndicates”. Every syndicate member gets paid their full entitlement by us after a winning draw.
-
What will happen if not all the shares of a syndicate are purchased?
Regardless of the number of shares sold in a syndicate, the shares you purchase will remain unaffected. Any unsold shares will be purchased by The Lottery Office at no extra cost to the existing syndicate members.
-
Am I limited to just one syndicate at a time?
You are able to purchase as many shares in as many syndicates as you wish. And don’t worry about keeping track of syndicates, draws and outcomes. We look after all that. We will notify you of the results of all your syndicate draws and pay your winnings entitlements into your account.
Please note: Spending limits apply for verified and unverified accounts. Please refer to our terms and conditions.
-
How are the winnings divided and paid to all members of a syndicate?
Winnings will be divided equally between the number of total shares in a syndicate. The prize you receive will be dependent on the number of shares you bought. The more shares you have, the more money you collect in the event of a win.
-
How are jackpot wins for USA Mega Lotto and USA Power Lotto syndicates paid out?
If a USA Mega Lotto or USA Power Lotto syndicate wins a jackpot prize, a single lump sum payment will be made. The payment will be divided amongst players in the syndicate.
The amount each player receives depends on the amount of the after-tax lump sum payment, how many shares were available in the syndicate and how many shares the player purchased.
Lotto Systems

What is a Lotto System?
A Lotto System allows you to select more or less lottery numbers than normal, increasing your chances of winning a prize compared with a standard game.
-
What are the benefits of a Lotto System?
Statistically speaking, the most effective way to boost the liklihood of you winning a lottery prize is very simple; you need to enter more games in a draw; the more games you've played, the higher the chances that one of them will win a prize. A single Lotto System game is the equivalent of many standard games, giving you more chances to win than with a standard game.
Lotto Systems also give you the chance to win multiple prizes across multiple divisions.
-
How do Lotto Systems work?
A Lotto System allows you to select more numbers in each game giving you more chances to win.
To illustrate how, let’s see an example using our UK Lotto: When you play a standard UK Lotto game, you select 6 main numbers:
But with a Lotto System, you can select 7, 8, 9, 10 or even 11 numbers. In the below example for a UK Lotto System 7, you are able to select 7 numbers, instead of the usual 6:
This one UK Lotto System 7 game is the same as playing the below 7 standard games:
This single UK Lotto System 7 game gives you all the possible combinations of the selected 7 numbers. This is the same as playing the above 7 standard games, meaning you’d have 7 chances of winning a prize instead of 1 with a standard lotto game.
It must be noted that any combination of standard numbers is just as likely as any other to win a prize, and it's not correct to assume that some numbers are more, or less likely to win a prize than any others.
-
