Donation Secures New Premises to Support More People in Need

The Australian Street Aid Project (ASAP) is a Mackay-based non-profit organisation that provides much-needed support for homeless people in the region.

They provide healthcare, meals, case-management, pet care and essential items free of charge for those that need it most.

As this crucial service is not funded by the government, donations and sponsorships are heavily relied upon to keep the doors open.

As a repeat contributor to ASAP, The Lottery Office is thrilled to donate a further $25,000.

This money will allow ASAP to secure a new premises to service the growing needs of people experiencing homelessness in the Mackay area. The new space is much bigger than the existing premises and will allow the approximately 133 people on the books to have their needs met in comfort.
